What you will work on
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help build and evolve the systems that our products and engineering teams depend on every day.
You will work across cloud infrastructure, deployment, observability, reliability, networking, security, and developer tooling. The goal is simple: make it easy for our engineers to ship reliable systems quickly, and make sure those systems continue to perform as EcomID scales.
This is a hands-on role with broad ownership. You will work closely with backend, data, AI, and product engineers, helping shape both our infrastructure and the way we build and operate software.
You will help design, build, and operate the infrastructure behind EcomID, including:
Designing and evolving our cloud infrastructure on GCP
Building reliable deployment and CI/CD systems
Improving observability across services, infrastructure, and production workloads
Building tooling that makes engineers faster and reduces operational overhead
Improving reliability, scalability, and resilience across our systems
Managing networking, service communication, secrets, and environment configuration
Designing infrastructure for production services, background workloads, and distributed systems
Improving incident detection, debugging, and operational response
Managing infrastructure as code and automated environment provisioning
Improving resource usage and infrastructure cost efficiency
Supporting high-throughput and low-latency production workloads
Improving local development and production parity
Designing sensible approaches to redundancy, backups, recovery, and failure handling
Working closely with engineering teams to remove infrastructure bottlenecks
Helping define infrastructure standards and engineering practices as the company grows
You will have significant influence over how our platform evolves and how engineering teams interact with it.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with strong infrastructure and software engineering fundamentals who has experience operating production systems at scale.
You should have experience with several of the following:
Designing and operating cloud infrastructure
GCP or another major cloud provider
Infrastructure as code
CI/CD and automated deployment systems
Containers and workload orchestration
Networking, DNS, load balancing, service communication, and security boundaries
Observability, metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting
Production reliability and incident response
Linux and production systems debugging
Python, Go, or another general-purpose programming language
Databases, caches, queues, and distributed systems
Managing production environments across multiple services
Capacity planning and infrastructure cost optimisation
Security fundamentals around IAM, secrets, access control, and service identities
Building internal tooling or developer platforms
Experience supporting data-intensive or machine learning systems is a plus, but not required.
We care more about strong engineering judgement and experience operating real production systems than whether you have used our exact stack before.

Our infrastructure supports a mix of backend services, data workloads, ML systems, batch processing, and real-time inference.
We are not attached to technologies for their own sake and are open to introducing better tools where they make sense.
